There are people that have less then nothing all over this world.
I am going it alone for my 3 children this Xmas...their father is gone on one of his binges (not that he's ever around anyways), their grandmother passed away in June (she was always Santa for all the kids). My only brother is out of town for the holidays.
I'm sure my kids got me some little dodads (which is great)but, my gift is that I have a job and I am able to provide gifts,goodies & a hot meal tommarrow for them.Were all healthy & together.

ok actually no,i was born 4 months to early to be a Christmas baby but the horror of me being born lasted through the holidays

Myex had problems. She would always buy me something I didn't want but she could pawn later to get drugs. She would also aways get pissed off at me just before mt birthday so she wouldn't have to get me something. She always wanted expensive stuff for Christmas and God help you if you forgot her birthday.

Ummm... when I was married, I never got anything that I didnt buy for myself. I always did all of the shopping, wrapped it all and acted surprised when I opened the packages I put under the tree.

One year he did surprise me, our first xmas married, he went to the jewelers and bought me a necklace. that was the only gift I ever got from him!

The saying that it is the thought that counts, has never been so boldly put in to place such as the above quote, maybe it was cheap but also maybe it was a symbolic gesture, the point is when I hear people say that ohhh it’s the thought that counts and its about the Christmas spirit….well you know what I do ….

we were newlyweds and he gave me an electric blanket!! I cried and cried! Now I say he was trying to tell me to keep my cold feet off his warm azz!! but, i was 21 and so starry eyed back then! lol!
