Take a guy that likes you, with cashola, and like I said, he will buy you what you want, do not take a cash strapped man to the jewelry store.

Everything in a jewelry store looks the same to me. The workers can say "oh its cut different and light goes thru it different than this other diamond which looks pretty much the same but we assure you its not". laugh

Gypsy was right, it's the whole wedding ring thing. It's like when someone will never go back in the ocean again after a shark bites their legs off.

I've never refused to go into a jewelry store because of the wedding ring thing, I just find jewelry boring. I find most shopping to be boring in general. I'm at a point in my life where I'm really trying to decrease my material wants in search of more substantial fulfillment. I've just realized how ephemeral that good feeling of owning something new is. Most of the time people don't really buy things or want things for themselves, they want things for the reaction that other people will give them for having it. I've found that learning a new skill or improving a skill gives me a much longer lasting satisfaction, like improving on my cartooning or popping or cooking.

To some men jewelry implies a special connection, that might not be there or they don't want known.
They need to learn that a gift is just that, A GIFT.
The only strings that go with a gift are the strings the giver puts there.
Engagment rings & wedding sets, carry commitment implied.
Anything else is a trinket/bauble that is just a gift.
All fears come from in ourselves & no where else.

all jewelry is like everything else, material, and a women that cared would of course be awestruck in front of a nice piece, but ultimately would really look at something that he could at least afford if she wanted him to buy it for her.

And most women these days would buy jewelry themselves if they could, if they could afford it and really liked it.

If you have never been taken to a jewelry store, it is because you can't afford to be in there.

Being cheap will cost you in the long run!

The odd thing is that jewelry can be beautiful with spectrums of colours, saying you don't like going to a jewelry store is almost like saying you don't like rainbows.

Do you like beautiful things? And what, I guess might be beautiful to one, might not be to another, yet, most of us see in colour, if your not colour blind.

They are SCARED that women are trying to rope them into the "M" word. I would still like to get a nice pair of Gold Hoop earings.

Just my humble but I view it as a waste of money, and I don't like the brutality of the diamond trade. I don't have a problem with cheap jewelry, but every time I see a $300 piece of jewelry I think of 300 people who could have eaten for that money;^]

Don't have to save the world, 300 people is better than none. I think a woman with expensive jewelry is unattractive, see no real statement in wearing it. But again, just my humble;^]

sorry turtle, no offense, I just cannot see someone not stopping to admire something nice, lol.

Saving people is fine, but the world needs so much more.

I never feel guilty for buying something, and I would feed anyone that comes near me, hungry.

So much corruption and so much more can be done!

When you feel good about yourself, you want to give more, I think.

Jewelry looks attractive depending on how you wear it.

Gold is gold and money is money.

Everyone has their own opinion.
