My sister saw him live in concert. She said he was a great fiddle player.

He's most famous for for his works
with the Charlie Daniels Band. Uneasy Rider, always one of my favorite songs. However, in the 1960s, Charlie Daniels was also known for his his work in the folk/rock scene, as a member of Bob Dylan's band. Multi faceted, multi talented. Rest in peace, Charlie Daniels. |

I first meet Charlie in 1976 or '77 before I was in the music business*. He was in Minatare, Nebraska buying some horses. I was a fan and only ten miles away when a friend told me, I dropped whatever I was doing and drove over. I introduced myself and said I was a big fan, Charlie was as nice a guy as you could ever meet.
Three or four years went by before I met him again then over the period of the next 30 years I saw him often and worked for him several times. I don't know of anyone that ever had a bad word to say about Charlie. He was always a great guy, always greeted me with a smile, never forgot my name (even though he of course met thousands of people) and treated me as a friend. REST IN PEACE Charlie. *Before I retired I had a successful sound reproduction company and spent most of 30 years in the South/Southeastern US |
