Z that sucks! do you have recovery points to where you can go back in time and restore your computer before those dates? i've done that before and been sucessful.

One time though, my dad spent 6 hours getting rid of something on mine, i completely forgot about it, and I needed to do a restore for something and i restored it back to the point of the virus, and reinfected my computer, my dad was pissed at me!

not sure whatelse you could do though. i'd have to sit down and play with it before i could suggest more!

Adrea that was my first thought however sytem restore was the first thing that was attacked. Last known save point was created by virus at time of infection all other entries erased. All viruses are gone now and damage repaired but its the lag and usless cleanup thats killing me. Sawed off shotgun blasts leave cleaner messes than what Ive found in C prompt.
