Shattered Hero

A lost soul trampled on a battlefield of molded waste
The cold taste'll fold face and slow brains like scolded haste
So hold late onto the dear memories...
Of an un-mourned soldier whose unfulfilled dreams grow older.
None bolder equipped with machetes and dual uzis
Who usually behead victims and let the spine hang loosely.
Who is he? A cold-hearted savior chosen by random,
A beautiful murderer of suitable handsome tactics.
His mind was backwards and fortunately so
Because he easily tore through torsos
And more-so, his fragile heart was indefinitely closed
So when he struck the scene, blood definitely flowed.

Now onto the next problem, this dude was a loner who
Finally found the one to cope with his issues.
A wonderful Christian, she bare a cross on her breast
And passed it onto her husband, locked in a chest,
No wait, a locket? Maybe..and perhaps they locked it?
Well, the point is that he wore it in his pocket
Instead of his neck, he would have died if he’d lost it
In a way he was a medium..soothsayer, a prophet.
That single symbol contained their entire existence
So the second he misplaced it their connection went indifferent
Terrific, that’s where it went and ended, deaded direct on path
Protected aftermath now unguarded and left unmasked.

All this over bull ****, the whole mid-southern
Portion of the globe engulfed by the deceased
Because the peace wasn’t governed, the land un-ferned
The grass un-earthed, the last chance un-birthed.
Everything he struggled to bring home for public view
Strung through an angel’s harp and laced through pummeled boots,
Drilled through a tunneled tooth, alas..another muzzled youth
Among the many shattered heroes now another puzzled truth.
