i went almost four weeks at 75% effaced, as well as being dilated to four centimeters.

every pregnancy is different...but in my personal experience, braxton hicks contractions are worse with each consecutive pregnancy, as the muscles and ligaments are a bit more stretched with each, as well...

i would hope to keep that baby cooking for a few more weeks.

Ouch! Lulu, poor you!

Got to agree, let the baby cook as long as she wants to. Nature is an amazing thing. Does anyone know of a baby that came on it's due date not by scheduled c-section? She will know when it is right for her to get here.

I feel for you LittlePreggers, my son was 'in position' forever. So much so poor guy had a fierce cone head for the first month of his life.

Hang in there...best as you can. Hugs, M

my son would have been 3 weeks early.. the day of my baby shower for him i got home and was trying to go to sleep then i had this weird pain.. my ex asked me what was wrong i said i feel weird.. got to the hospitle and i was having good size contractions every 2 MINUTES.... they told me to walk sense i was 1 cm... i did that for 2 1/2 hours i told them if i wasnt dialating any more after that i was going home..(2:30 am) my contractions didnt stop tell 6 am... then 5 days later i woke up at 5:27 am feeling the same weird feeling i went to roll over and say something to my ex and then "POP" i waited tell i was done flooding the bed before i woke him up..((giggles)) the good thing was he was covered in the stuff...gave us something to laugh about on the way to the hospitle.

My middle son whose 21st birthday is today, was only one day late. I went into labor with him and everything, but I had to have a c-section. Didn't know it til after I was at the hospital, he never turned like he was supposed to. He was still sitting up. I should have known then it was going to be a boy, too lazy to move. LOL No, really he is a good kid, he takes care of me all the time. I can't gripe about him at all, he sometimes does more to take care of me then what I am able to do for myself.
Hope everything goes good when you do finally get to that time.
Take care.

Ahhh, LP, let the little man sleep in your bed. It is a comfy spot and I'm sure he is aware of you being uncomfortable. He can comfort you as you can to him.

OMG, FMA and Lulu...actually having kids being born on the due date. I'm impressed. Honestly never met anyone that happened to.

Hugs, M

All my kids came early, and all were natural deliveries, no drugs.... and they were quick.

The eldest due 21st July, born the 7th of July, hour and a half labour from first contraction to birth.

The second due 25th February, born the 11th February...four hours from first pressure, to birth, and maybe 20 mins of 'labouring'.

Third, due 17th January, arrived 29th December, two hours from start to birth.

Fourth and last little one, due 15th May, born 7th May, an hour and fifteen minutes, from first contraction to birth... Just her and I, delivered her alone, no assistance, and in the calm darkness, as I wanted.

All easy births... all healthy babies, quick recovery for me, up and about within the hour, I believe that it was not having any fear, not carrying excess weight, and having stayed physical throughout the pregnancy...and the NO DRUGS... made for quick deliveries.
