I don't know if I am alone on this...but that phrase has always bothered me. I for one enjoy being a black man...I love everything about being a black person.

So why would I want to live in a world/society that "stripped" me of that or didn't acknowledge that?

We should just see people as people...that isn't possible is it? If it was...would you want it to be possible??

Shouldn't we instead work to see/acknowledge/embrace the differences instead of 'erasing' them??

tell ya what, find a true white person, or true black person, and ill see them, all i see is a bunch of people that need to be right with one another instead of having hate in their hearts

I'm not sure where this is coming from but I agree "color" has nothing to do with who a person is...

i would think "seeing people for people" would include their ethnic background but not use that to define them.

yall know what i'm talking about, if i'm in a certain neighborhood that predominantly white i get looked at crazy and vice versa...

color? what is that? im color blind. ive raised my daughter to look into ones heart. we are all of the same race, the human race!

more people today are mixed than realize it. but, you cant let the skin on the outside justify hating someone that has it diffrent than you,, we all have the same heart and organs, so whats the damn diffrence? its the way we are raised, some are raised to hate, some to love

you could kick it with me but to be color blind is to strip a person of they're indiiidualality so seeing they're black skin or white skin or whatever skin is a good thing as long as you can see that

there a black guy that worked with my mom for many years at a restaraunt and he's always been like a family member to us.he's always called my mom Mom and i've even seen him gripe his own brother out if his brother got rude with her for some reason.i haven't seen him around in a few years but he knows if anyone messes with him,they're messing with us too or vice versa.he's one of the coolest guys i know


there's not many blacks in this town but the ones that do live here,no one looks at them any different

my son wants to be black.....I told him its just not possible.......he asked if I could colour his hair black and give him a fro!!!

I told him he would look ridiculous like that.....that he cannot be black because he isnt one........why cant he just be happy being tan???
