The thing is, Steve, lots of us know where you're at now, because we've been there, some of us are still there  So, we all understand there may come a time when you need to rearrange your priorities for a while.

im not one to ask for anything if i can help it, specially for help, cause i would rather do it on my own. i have always been this way, my first surgery i had to have help cause i couldnt do anything for myself except wipe my ass. as far as cooking, cleaning, working, or sitting down, for the first month and a half all that was out of the question. i swore i would never deal with that again. i dont like someone else having to do anything for me. i was raised to take care of myself.

Last week you were there for me -- all you told me to do was ask -- that alone is a comfort ... knowing if you need it the strength of a caring hand or shoulder is there.

i have always felt if i cant do for myself im worthless. call it bullheadedness, but its the way i feel. i wont feel worthless, even though some people around me are making sure they make it clear to me that they belive i am
