A light streaks by
I lose my breath
It winked at me before it left
A brilliant light
A deathly beauty
Rings of fire
Cosmic fury
A brilliant light
Before it dies
A quiet death
The heavens sigh
Take me with you, dying light
Let me ride you through the night

**WHISPERS AND SCREAMS**
A whispered scream
A burrowing thorn
The dark is a monster
That waits to be born
A bit of denial
A splinter of doubt
Alone I must fight
Will I find a way out?
A light that won't help me
A dark that won't die
The things that I loved are now things to despise
Whispers and screams
More burrowing thorns
I wish it would stop
But there's always some more...

**WAVES OF DELUSION**
White noise and black waves
A little dream is set ablaze
Fighting dread as time slips by
Telling myself that I will be fine
Louder noises, bigger waves
Disappointment and endless days

The waves pull me under, the noise is a roar
I'll take it all in and be left like before
I'll analyze everything until I am raw
Alone I must face the demons that call

White noise and black waves
A little dream is set ablaze
Fighting the dread before it takes over
A fire is dying; I keep getting colder
Louder noises, bigger waves
More disappointment and endless days

I must have been wrong all of this time
Thinking my dreams could really be mine
The **** just keeps piling and sucking me dry
I'm losing myself; I don't feel alive

A little hope is set ablaze
Fighting the dread that is always there
The fire is choked to a pin prick of flare
Louder noises and bigger waves
More disappointment and endless days
