Topic Title: Guys: Why do some girls say they dont care about body but mind?

are they just lying or like just tryin to show she isnt shallow?
this just came to my mind, i keep wondering how some girls like a guy on his personality and mind than his body, but are they just sayin this to be nice?,i mean most just go for tha body
its like some kinda conspiracy to me and a half truth, like how can we really know wat they are saying?

I can't speak for everyone, but a reasonable amount of self-care would be necessary in a man (at least for me). Not a 'roded-out hardbody, but 75 pounds overweight would probably not cut it either. Personally, I find the Stallone/Schwarzenegger megaroid look offensive.

You have to realise they are people and take everything they say with a grain of salt. Most people like the idea of things but if they were to really think about it they'd find out that they arn't the way they would like to be if you understand what I'm saying. I don't know why but people seem to think if they like an idiology then thats the way they are. I hope I explained that clearly.

believe it or not, some of us do go by peronality. don't get me wrong, looks have alot to do with intitial attraction, but i for one have dated some real ugly men cause i thought they had such a great sence of humor and a wonderful outlook on life. and i've broke off a would be relationship with some very gorgous men because they were total ****s!!! so in the end, personality accounts for more than looks!!! for me anyways.

i like a guy who likes to laugh and have some humor... honestly the insides attract me more than the outsides....

it puzzles me when soem girls say im seyxy and cute
and i know they dont mean by my body yet face sometimes
yet some actually say they do
are we forced to believe these things?

Hmmmm....I never really understood that. I think that there are a lot of women out there that really is attracted to the mans personality and his intelligent conversations...yes, physical attraction helps, but what good is a body when the man is as smart as the front door?

although broad shoulders are a bonus!

theres a degree of "looks don't matter" thats probably true but we mise well face it, it's human nature to persue those you find physically attractive. i'm sure people they find less then attractive can make up for it by having good qualities as a person but there's always a degree of restrictions as well.

good personality is a must a personality that matches..... the rest could live with or without.....of course there has to be some attraction but it is not what is lasting as the personality is...

I know some might disagree but You will Never Understand a woman ever neither will I they say one thing one day and mean something else the next. Woman like guys who try to take care of themselves they don't have to be like stallone but just as long as they can make them laugh and have a good personality but #1 you have to be confident in yourself.

but really, i still dont believe they wwould say this unless they lie to themselves? or why they want to know me i dont even got a good bod yet i wonder if i did would i just be told i have a good body only,kinda degrading and just makes me feel worse

one more thing before i go, i was going thru profiles, and i came across the funniest thing ive read yet, was so funny i didnt even look at the guys pic. turns out he wasnt all that pretty to me. skin and bones i tell ya, short and weighs less than i do. but if i had looked at his face instead of reading his profile, i may not have had much to do with him. point being, i would have missed out on this wonderful man with such life force. he is great and i adore him now. we talk on the phone and email each other, and i hope i get to meet him one day. you need to believe that not all of us are like that. we are not a stereotype, just like men should not be judged based on a few assholes.

Bingo. alot of people are vary "self unaware". Me included. The thing about that is they don't know unless they take the time to self reflect and then either fix themselves or learn to except the way they are. Because, I'm going to be frank, theres nothing wrong with likeing someone just for looks. So long as you can admit that thats the way you are.

in my profile it basically says, no perves in not so many ords. i had this damned good looking man email me and say some dirty ass **** to me. i replied and was like, can u not read??? dont expect me to respond to some jerk talking trash to me. i would rather be with a man who respects me, ya know. and like i said, ive been with men i didnt think were very good to look at because they RESPECTED me and made me laugh. i would rather be with someone i love than someone i lust for. and when someone loves THE PERSON YOU ARE, then THEY LOVE YOU!!!!
