Okay so I've been here a couple of weeks already...even brought a friend on today. But its nearing midnight and I needed to ask, and I hope other new people are having the same thoughts.

How do you get over those fears of meeting with someone??? Especially with someone farther away...and why the heck does it matter how far they are??? (I mean why does it matter to me?)
I was almost this close to scheduling a meet with someone on another site, we had had awesome emails back and forth for awhile...even called on the phone...but it was moving super quick...I was like whoa...I mean I'm really new at this whole thing and so I mentioned the distance...I was still willing to talk and see where it went, but he just said goodbye...we had just had an hour long conversation two days before. So if I sound confused on this, well I am. What am I supposed to think when things like that happen? Both in the meeting of men off and on line. Grrrr. Well okay I vented...sorry.

well, everyone is looking for something..someone different. Maybe this person is not looking for a long distance relationship...........who knows, just don't dwell on it

yeah, think it was more my insecurity in it then his...and he was talking to someone else...so... Its really not him...just the thought in general... I'm new to the whole dating scene...and really have basically decided to stay on here for the forums...but I'm still looking and just wanted to know???

every day you go out you see new faces.you just be carefull. if you dont feel safe dont do it your gut will tell you and if you still dont know bring a friend.i would love to have a date with 2 girls it would be safe sure i would get picked on but it would be all in fun

You only live once and you NEVER know who God is gonna put in your life..and when..take a chance if thats whats in your heart, distance can always be worked out..we are lookin for something when you find it dont pass it up, even if its not THE ONE..well least you'll be ready for the next one :)

Aye, thanks, that's how I was feeling when I started this whole thing...lol Blessed the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts has been my song recently...not for any guy, in particular, obviously...but just the fact I think it fits most of us.

Thanks JohnCarl...I wanted to continue with it...I mean he seemed like a really nice guy...but I wanted to tell him the truth too... because he'd just asked about it a couple of days ago. lol...oh well I'm here and enjoying myself. I think it helps that I have a friend on here too...she's mostly on here for the forums but she understands and hey I can get her opinion too (lol, just like friends do when meeting a potential guy off line...lol)
