Some women can't take the pill and some have to just play around with different ones til they find one that works with their bodies. I've never heard of that, but it doesn't surprise me much. flowerforyou flowerforyou

Lots of non-hormonally based stuff out there to use if you're uncomfortable with trying something else. You'll find something that works for you.

I had the baby blues, many years ago. I got very mixed up emotionally, chemically and physically, yes you are right in that respect.

I became the most illogical and nasty woman, which was not a pleasant thing to go through, you have my sympathy. On the bright side these sorts of problems are easily resolved these days once one knows what they are dealing with.

Thank you for your comments...I thought I was going barking mad for a time, I didn't have a clue what was going on and started beating myself up verbally (and those people closest to me) Which I regret. Did you do a similar thing? flowerforyou

Oh and welcome to JSH by the way

Yes Stylish that is exactly what happens in a minor way, I have witnessed far worse though. You should count your blessings, there are many woman out there who are suffering far worse and do not understand what is happening.

You had the intelligence to realise that something was wrong and sought out professional help. Things can only get better now.

Stylish, there are things you can do for yourself too, to speed the process up. Are you eating properly? Cut down on any chemical additives, do you Smoke or Drink? Try and put into your body as many good things as possible, fresh fruit etc. Stress can also be a major factor too, is there anything that is very stressful in your life? Also Isolation can make things worse, Do you get out enough?

Bonjour, my GP said similar things.

Oddly enough, I have just given up smoking and drinking...well in the last couple of months or so, even though I didn't smoke or drink to any degree beforehand. Iv'e always eaten a healthy diet...

I have a reasonable amount of stress in my life, but again that's being reduced, I worked out what was stressing me and am taking positive action to get rid of some of it.

Isolation....laugh laugh laugh yep plenty of that, but that will sort itself out when I sort out whats causing the stress...Its just all work a no play at the moment...hence why I came on this site

It looks like your GP is taking good care of you, and has a handle on the situation.

Things will improve quite quickly for you, of that I have no doubt, you will feel your old self again in no time at all. Hormones are a very powerful thing, they are also a very delicate balancing act. But as I said before, your GP appears to have things under control.
