They showed some clueless bimbo literally *banging* her knife on the tomato..and the person talking said how "regular knives" make a mess of some things/ are hard to use.. Darlin'...no. Just stop with that BS.... If you are THAT dang stupid about cutting up a tomato, or peeling a hard-boiled egg....then you just need to stay out of the kitchen....

What sometimes gets me going, are the unintended messages that commercial writers include, and hapless business owners then pay to put out.
Like the series of commercials a little while back for a sugar coated cereal, where the kid eating it goes to school and sees a piece of cereal on his shoulder, telling him the answers to teachers questions. Like any REAL parent would want their child to eat something that makes them incapable of telling reality from a drug-induced hallucination. |

It's the Chevy commercials with the 'real people, not actors' that I always make fun of. I'm always saying "IT'S CHEVY!!! THE ANSWER IS CHEVY!!! FORD AND THE OTHER TRUCK COMPANIES NEVER DO THESE TYPE OF COMMERCIALS!!! JUST SAY CHEVY, AND PICK UP YOUR PAYCHECK!!!"

I also get private yuks from the periodic amusing effort by some company to tell me I can get laid by buying their product.
The funniest are the ones where sex has nothing to do with the product at all. A couple of years back, McDonalds actually ran some commercials that showed guys buying McDonalds food, and by carrying it home to their apartment, managed to gain the favor of their hot neighbor. |
