Topic: Random People Befriending you | |
---|---|
I've noticed.... People who don't even send me a proper email...
are randomly adding me to their friends list. Now my issue is... They dont' even show up on my friends list... So i'm just wondering.. are you all getting people who "add you to their friends list" and you never hear from them. Sounds to me like they are bots.. but.. i didn't realize bots could add you as friends. |

And what they have to gain by adding abunch of random people as "friends", i do not know.. |

I dunno either... Just seems rather fishy, and weird... but least someone else has experience with these so called "friend requesters"

Friends list or favorite???
Anyone can send a friend request but you have to accept it before they show on your friends list. Anyone can just add you as a favorite, you'll just get a notice that they did. |

It does not work that way for me. I have three options = accept, decline, block. I have learned not to accept any friend that has nothing on their profile, I do a lot of declining. In my mind that accept, decline, or block list is a list of people who for some reason want me to be their so called friend, which in most cases to me means I am on their idiot to contact list. |

Random people I do not know contacting me to be their "Friend" or "favoriting" me?? Nope. I only "friend" people I know...or the 2-3 that I have seen on the Forums frequently and therefore sort of know. As far as same bunch of random people adduing me as "Favorite...they are usually younger than my filter is set for....or from 1000+ miles away..and therefore are suspect as to *why* they'd add me as a favorite.. Like I said..what do they hope to gain by that...Unless it is like Chris said..to add tons of people hoping some poor sod will think it great they added them and start up a correspondence. |

Well there are 2 tabs to both areas. The who added me on favorites will drop off when they deactivate or are deactivated. As for the friends list i think you can delete those.
Bluegrass was right as to why they do it near the end of that statement. |

If someone send you a friend request, just decline if you are not interested and move on.
Welcome to Mingle2 and good luck |
