A story retold on the net

One day consciousness found a way to fall asleep and dream. Within this dream it realized it could create and control anything which it wanted. It also added into its dream a period or time frame of 75 years. Even it realized it could split itself into more than 1 object and/or entity at any given time.

After aeons of fun dreaming up pleasures constantly knowing and understanding everything, it decided to add a few random events of unknown happenings, Just to spice things up. More and more it added random events of information, similar to picking random numbers from a hat.

And so like a junky is dependent upon a substance, consciousness was dependent on the unknown which made its appetite grow even more. A few more aeons past until something completely astonishing happened. Consciousness forgot it was asleep. Wake up dude, wake up.

Sounds kinda like the American movie 'Vanilla Sky', which, yes, is based the Spanish movie 'Open Your Eyes'. And neither one of those was humorous at all, either.
