I am going to be a Grandma in November.. and today was the baby shower.
I was asked the other day what I wanted to be called... Grands, Grandma, Nana.. I'm sticking with Gramma..

Comgrats! My 11 soon to be 12 grand kids call me Nanna.

My grandma name is Queenie.

I like to be creative and original, FYI.

I was sort of joking, but was nicknamed Queen twice at work, guys didn't know each other. Both geologists, of course.

At a dinner Thanksgiving weekend that year, with his family and our family, just after they announced the pregnancy, someone asked what we wanted our grandma names to be.

His mom said "Mia" and I said "Queenie". Spur of the moment, I hadn't contemplated the idea yet. His mother gave me a weird look.




I kept it. Grandson 7 yo, granddaughter 3.5 yo
