What do I know?

If you walked away right now
It wouldn’t hurt too much-
I wouldn’t miss your smile
Or the gentle way you touch.
Should you decide to leave
I wont lose any sleep-
There are no obligations…

But what do I know?
Have I lost my mind?
The kind of love I feel for you
Is so hard to find-
I Thinking I could go thru life
Just being your friend.
That it wouldn’t hurt my heart,
And I could just pretend-

But what do I know?

Whenever you’re around
A light floods my soul
You’re the missing piece
That lets me know I’m whole
And there is no other place
That I would rather be
All that I know right now
Is this love that flows thru me.

What do I know?
Have I lost my mind
This kind of love
Is so hard to find
I guess I could lie
Say I don’t care
I could walk away
But that’s so unfair!

Salute to a soldier…

Soldier far away from home
In the desert hauling his gear
All grown up - yet still a boy…

Stakes out to guard against
The enemy so near
His weapons no longer a toy.

Jittery at every sound
He tries hard to keep his nerve,
Dodging mines with his team.

Wishing he could block out
Every sound of the war he serves,
But they carry on in his dreams.

He carries every letter
His mom and girlfriend send
His only lifeline outside this place

He thinks about family gatherings
That he can’t attend
The stress of this war on his face

So we salute the soldiers
Who do this everyday
So that we can live free

We may not always agree
On the price that is paid
But they have only respect from me.

I Feel His Breath

Sometimes Im at the end of my rope,
Life is so hard and I’ve reached for hope-
And Im feeling restless weary and worn.
But Jesus knows my every need
And He supplies it, yes indeed
And thru His grace again I am reborn!

I feel His Breath-I hear His voice
I see His footsteps beside mine in the dew.
I fear no Death- For I rejoice,
In this day that He has given fresh and new

I feel His breath…

I can feel His breath on my face,
I feel His very presence in this place
Im fresh and new and ready for anything.
Nothing formed against me will stand
For I am in the palm of His hand,
And I have Vict’ry only He can bring.

I feel his breath- I hear His voice
I see His footsteps beside mine in the dew.
I fear no death, for I rejoice
In this day that He has given fresh and new

I feel His breath…

And like the sea billows roll
He brings refreshment to my soul
For God is good
No Harm can come to me…..
