sOME OF YOU DON'T KNOW..
about my cancer thing thats goin on In May I was given 12 mos +/- with treatment on my cancer. I've already beat 6 mos of that. I talked to my dr today, and when I asked for a prognosis he said "you're as strong as an army boot" we'll do scans in Jan. But youre already beating it. I've seen things & I'm happy. I'm getting better (shouldnt I?) for those of you who know, this type of cancer does not have a very good outlook. There was some more to what he said, BUT IT'S ALL GOOD!!!(at least for now) If you pray, PRAY. If you hope, HOPE. & if you truly like me, let me know. This has been a great set |

My prayers are with you. You will make it... stay positive and find joy in the little moments of life...
I wholeheartedly believe in MIND over MATTER. My Uncle Len (RIP), had a cancer that was 98% fatal the first year he had it. He lived for 32 years after his diagnosis. At one point the doctors stopped giving him time frames of how long he had left... they told him "You aren't going to listen to us anyway... so why should we bother?" Despite what he went through, he was in good spirits overall... and he was surrounded by friends and family and those he loved... I'd like to think we helped make the difference in whether he lived out his days happily or not... and that we contributed to his comfort while he was here. The 5 year anniversary just passed recently. Miss him lots.  He was survived by his mother, 2 sisters 7 brothers, 36 nieces and nephews and (at the time) 1 great nephew.

God bless you Bro. Hope when you go back in Jan that you get nothing but good news. My best buddy has a disease called TTP. 85% of the time, they find out you have it during your autopsy. He's been surviving with it for about 8 years now.

I am really happy for you! Cancer runs in my family and it sucks big time.....My mom had breast cancer now she has Leukemia and my grandpa also has Leukemia...it SUCKS!!! I am glad you are beating the disease

Thanks so much you guys,
It's great to know there are so many good friends here... even those I haven't heard from before. Thanks especially to singing heart. I don't buy into their little time frames, either. One of my greatest pleasures is making iron on transfers for T-shirts on the computer (I've done about 10) that poke fun or are disrespectful about cancer and chemo. I'm famous at the center--the staff comes from all over to see which one I've got on. Just my way of thumbin' my nose at the whole mess! I really don't have much to complain about either. Except for bein' bald  I don't feel much worse than 6 mos. ago.
I'm a lot more tired, but that's ok. Thanx everyone for the luv! |
