Topic: My Car Would Not Start | |
---|---|
This morning my car started at first. I let it warm up for about 10 minutes. Then I drove 2 blocks to a gas station to get gas. After I had pumped and payed for the gas my car would not start. I finally got it started after waiting a few minutes.
It is very cold here in, Chicagoland. We have had snow. And to top it off my left arm is broken. Since the cast keeps my elbow, wrist, and hand immobile I only have 1 hand to drive with! So with the car trouble, ice, and cast, I took the day off. |

Good for you, I would have done the same thing
Cold here in VA too, 20 degrees, which we don't see often and I don't remember ever seeing this early before in the 12 years I've been here. Lot of snow, too, for us. |

Hi. That was a smart idea. You did the right thing. I'm in Toledo, OH, and it's been pretty darn cold here. If we had more snow, it would actually be warmer. Sorry about your car. In the winter, it's really hard on cars. My old one was a '93 Cutlass Ciera, which I finally had to get rid of because it was too expensive to continually fix, so now I'm on foot, or ride the bus, etc. Was your car acting up before you went to the gas station? It's a possibility it's the starter, although they generally act ornery before actually going out.
