I m still talking to the guy. Some are just online Players.

So it's a rant thread, is it? oh goodie.

I used to think it was a language or cultural issue with some of our worldwide minglers on the site but now I don't think it is. It's absolute cluelessness, which to be fair, may be a byproduct of culture in some cases. The tendency to jump into a thread with a random "hiiiiii" is a bit irksome. I'm pretty sure a lot of them mistake the forums for live chat.

In fairness, I do notice that some of the most stupid questions asked in the forums are from domestic users as well as foreign but that's a whole other rant.

I agree with Toody. Who the h3ll wants a pen pal?

If I were you I would move on. You can text your friend in your spare time.
