I’m not real familiar with the Island but took the ferry over once when staying at a casino hotel. We took a carriage tour and walked up to the Fort, then had to catch the last ferry. It was beautiful.

Yes, they have a lilac festival in June, I think it's June. There's a ton of flowers. Most haven't bloomed yet or are just now blooming. We had rain all day and it's going to warm up for the next week, so a lot should bloom over the week.

That's cool Shy. I visited here twice in the past, years ago.

One of my favorite flowers are lilacs, because they smell so good, and my favorite color is purple.

I've road around the Island a couple times, and through the middle of the Island, it's really nice.

After Labor Day would be better than early season. Unless you don't mind the freezing cold weather. Since I got here over a month ago, it's only been warm about 1 out of the 5 weeks and not consecutively. Today is supposed to warm up... we had a frost advisory last night.

Between Memorial Day and Labor Day it's extremely busy here. I'm glad I'm not working on Main Street, lol.
