We missed ya bear, glad you had fun though Not sure what I'm doing tonight... just got home from the gym, about to heat up some burgers for dinner... kind of tired but also kind of wanting to do something tonight... maybe dinner, then nap, then out? |

Forgot to add.... Ange has a new picture! At least I'm not the only one who changes things up

Though you didn't say whether it was good or bad I figured why not try something different since I never change my facebook picture
I'm pretty tired...but I really have to start studying. A friend is coming to stay with me tonight though I hope she doesn't mind if I'm intensely studying or typing away online haha. We might hang out with peoples or something *shrugs* |

I think it's good, it's a closer picture which is always a plus... and changing things up is just good in general.
I don't even have a picture on Facebook, lol. I never use that site. Sounds like you too will have fun... like OMG, what are you typing? Oh, I'm just telling some kid in Ohio that you're here and I'm still procrastinating and goofing off! Yay! |

Whoo!
Facebook is for all the cool kids. And then they opened it up for everyone. I got it because I wanted to stay in touch with college friends. Which I kind of do Only now most of my time is spent super poking people and doing random movie quizzes. Whee! I think thats exactly how the night is going to go.=P She'll either become really nosey and into it, or think I'm silly lol |

I never made any good friends in college, I was too busy and I didn't get wasted enough I guess I'm a pretty good psychic eh? Hi Mindy! |

I don't get wasted (well..not really =P) at all and I have 160 something facebook "friends" from my school I'm sure half of them I know vaguely , some I probably don't remember at all. Do you regret not making closer college friends? And is there anyone from college that you would have liked to stay in touch with? And where did you go? (I am just so full of questions!) |

College was an odd situation for me. I went 1200 miles away, to Tulane University... New Orleans... and I didn't know a soul there. That didn't help.
Then (I guess I've never told you this) I started as a junior there... long story short, I started college full time 2 years early, my junior and senior years of high school, and transferred a bunch of credits. BUT... I still had to live in a freshman dorm because it was my first year there... so I lived in a freshman dorm (the honors dorm, actually), I had actual hard classes, no intro crap, and I didn't have class with anyone I lived with. Not one. I also had a job, and I had a lot of work to do... I studied while they goofed off.... And my roommate was a total freakin' shutin who never left the room, sometimes not even to go to class... we weren't friends. I lived next to 2 party animals, a religious freak, a couple obnoxious morons, 2 gay guys, and 2 super dorks. This wasn't my crowd... at all. Oh, and to top things off, I had a girlfriend in Ohio, so I didn't really go out much and do that kind of thing... After my first year, I was lucky enough to get a single in the upperclassman dorms... I loved it, but it really didn't help me meet people. I mean, I had a few friends that I would go out to the bar with on the weekends or whatever, or guys that I'd go to the gym with, but no close friends. Andddd... my ex girlfriend was there, so it was kind of awkward, we would talk and see each other, I was still kind of into her, so again I never went out too much doing the normal guy thing... My 3rd year (I only had to go 5 semesters, so only 1 semester this year) I got another single and I don't think I knew the name of a single person in the building Then I was done, graduated, and moved back home. Never met anyone there that really had a lot in common with me... The only person I would have liked to stay in touch with would be.... this chick I had an Air Force ROTC class with... she was very cute, I would talk to her a little... sometimes run into her at a local bar... but never pursued it. I wouldn't mind seeing her again |

Oh wow, that's crazy! Why choose a school that far away? Just looking for something different? Or did it have a really awesome program?
Now I know the extent into which your smartness expands. I think that's an awesome opportunity, but it does kind of throw you off the social track. I guess living in singles do that too But I love my single and can't stand to live with anyone else, though I know I will in the future...but I think for now I'll stick with my singles lol. Overall I'm sorry things didn't work out in terms of social networking Friends are overrated And you've stumbled upon this site where you can make more awesomer friends than you ever could in college! And who knows, the ROTC gurlie could be somewhere around here |

My school choice was heavily influenced by an academic scholarship... and I wanted to move away, to grow up, mature, take care of myself... I've seen far too many that never do that while attending a local school... so I'm happy I went away, though I probably would choose a different school if doing it again (nothing against the school, I'd just work a little harder ;)
The social track was just F'ed up from the beginning there, and I never got back on course. It was odd, I was busy, I had school and then I also worked about 20-25 hours a week... (for one semester I worked 2 jobs and even more hours, lol) Singles rock... I'm sure a double would be great with the right person but not when you get some dude out of the lottery bin.. and he sucks the weenie (figuratively)... I had arranged living with some kid from Texas who seemed really freakin' cool and then shortly before school started he told me that he wasn't coming, his uncle or something had like brain cancer and his family was spending all of their money on medical bills and he was going to college locally... it sucked, big time, because then I got stuck with a loser that didn't make the effort to find someone to live with... it was guaranteed failure! Friends aren't a problem now that I'm back home, I have some great friends that I went to high school with and have met along the way... ROTC girl is probably deployed, I hope she's safe. |

Yeaah....lottery roomies are interesting lol. I was put in a tripple my freshman year. We respected each other, never got into any verbal fights. If there was an issue it was brought up, discussed, and settled. Little annoyances (like the fact that they would go out almost every night and come back trashed) were ignored. I remember once I came back to my room and they were with a bunch of other drunk people and a security guard...I backed out slowly haha.
Home friends are good friends *nods* I'm so excited to go back hoooome! I just hope that the roads aren't too awful =/ And I do hope that the ROTC girl is safe as well ^^ There seems to be a lot of army, navy, marine types on this site. OMG! (don't judge me) I think I've almost made my whole itunes play list on a play count of an even number! *dances* |
