This was inspired by someone doing this to an obese person in my presense today and not understanding why I disapproved of their making fun of the "FATTY"

I am calling this one Silent Message.


You see an obese person and turn in disgust
scowl or laugh and dismiss as unworthy
of your respect, love or even trust
This helps you feel smart and worldly

I'll bet you would be surprised
to find that the thoughts
in this "fat" person's mind comprised
more self insults than you brought

For society has beat them down
tortured them with insults
making them the eternal clown
bringing about disastrous results

Self hate and food have become
a way of life and escape
to run to.... and from
a sick form of self rape

Food is the comfort that kills
they will eat to die, and live
they will talk of themselves ill
expecting the reception you give


So no need to show your disapproval
For inside each tortured soul
is a repeating message that sounds above all
"you are unworthy of...any love at all"

Dragon, that was well worth the read...I don't understand why people want to be so ignorant. If they themselves had an affliction, (which I believe they do), they themselves would feel unworthy and divulge into something. So be kind people, what if the shoe was on the other foot?
