Tax breaks for businesses that build products here... the more Americans they employ, better tax breaks and other incentives, like maybe a 10% deposit, based on annual income, into a 401k or something of the recipients choice Yup. I had a related thought, too late now, that the GOP could have combined tax reform with addressing health care, by setting lower rates for businesses who pay for their employees' insurance costs. Instead of either handing out money for nothing (tax breaks for the sake of tax breaks, and cross your fingers that the money will be used to expand here), or worse, penalizing people for not buying coverage (the ACA), we could have "killed two birds with one stone," by rewarding American companies who hire AND properly pay American employees. |

It puzzles me that people scapegoat politics and media about the things they dont like in America but refuse to credit them for the things that allegedly make us so 'great'. and some of the same that have so many of their own apparent grievances about what drives american culture (media, education, and politics) Still are so offended when others dont share their symbolism about near worship of things like flags and anthems. But all that aside ... Im asking for an 'immigrant free' topic, What things that have NOTHING TO DO WITH IMMIGRATION OR TERRORISM, would you want to see improved in America? And (here is the part for grown ups) what SUGGESTIONS do you have for working towards those improvements? The one Big Picture thing I'd love to see, would be national leaders who read a dictionary, and know what the words "national leader" actually means. I'm exhausted by Presidents and Senators and others who think that the way to "make America great," is to insult, ignore, denigrate and otherwise declare half of the citizens to be "traitors" or worse. The last person I recall who wanted to be President of the ENTIRE United States, was Bob Dole. |

What would I fix ... a lot of things but this comes to mind ...
1 -right now that is out there ... is lets have a... Military parade ... I say they want to have a dictators kind of parade... if the United States has become a dictator kind of country then that is what they will do ... both parties now that this has been mentioned have been put in a catch 22... position ... So lets not ! and give all of that $ to the military personally... we already have paraders ... for the military ... to support for one... like the wounded warrior program ... Americans knows what that is ... it is a program where they ask all Americans to give their own $ to this program becouse the Government does not take very good care of our military when they return home and are injured from battles ... mentally and physically... That would be a start to a great fix ... and the $ will be better received then for a  parade...   
well msharmany I say your right ... they are on the rd to get more charter schools then put the $ back into a area that is poor ... and give to public schools ... when they start doing that ...then people children will rise ... instead of keeping then down with negativity and low income ...like they end up doing generally ... least their talking about giving the teachers a raise ... for the nxt few yrs ... that helps ... our state tried to keep people here ... after graduation from high school and collage ... but I guess the pay was not very good here ...to make them stay in the state ... I thought that would have been good if it had panned out ...that kind of program should start in every state but certain jobs are know longer around ... so you can not blame people ... |
