i rarely wore a ring when i was married and occasionally i'll wear one on my left hand, just cuz.. not to deter anyone, but because i feel like it

do i wear one to get guys to leave me alone, no,

i wear one on my left ring finger cause that is the only finger i can wear any ring on comfortably

I agree. I am left handed so any ring I wear feels funny on my left hand.

Funny story.. The day after Thanksgiving, the new bf (we've only been dating about a month) and I went to the early morning sales. He walked off to see if he could find the thing I wanted and the lady behind me said she was gonna have to borrow my husband when he came back. I was like we aren't married, but I guess the diamond ring on my left hand didn't help anything. She said she should have known better cause we were being lovey dovey and he was there early in the morning shopping with me.

I don't get the concept..well, I get the reason for it, but isn't that a little silly, not to mention deceitful? Just being honest about my interest has always worked well for me.

yes sometimes when i'm going out and want to be left alone most of the time it doesnt seem to matter to the guys.hehe

We're not looking at your hands ya know. Are you wearing one now? I just want to know if I should leave you alone.
I do look at what a woman might have on: ring, pendant, watch, cool boots just to get a sense of her style (and maybe if it's valuble I can try to pick her pockets). Unless it looks like a wedding ring I don't think it's really a deterrant.

No!! No wonder men think we are complicated!! I am honest. Probably too honest for my own good, but, there it is!! I don't understand women! Guess thats why I don't have any friends!

I wore mine for the few years my Ex and I were separated, before the divorce. For just that reason. I was still legally married and would honor that. It worked pretty well too.

Now, that ring is on a chain hanging from a hook near my bed, along with a crucifix and watch. I don't know why exactly it is there... It just is. But it has made for some interesting pillow talk over the last six years.
