I am hoping so but so few people read anymore, what scares me is that i see people that say they hate reading or who cares about it.

I love to read too... I read a wide variety of books... the problem isn't what you like to read. The problem is your timing on finding someone that also likes what you do.

I agree - I think there are a lot of people who like to read - but everyone is online at different times.

How about Cornelia Funke? Both of my kids recommended that I read Inkheart (one is 21 and the other is 10). They both happened to be reading it at the same time, unbeknownst to eachother (the older one is in Germany, so it was really weird!!). I decided that I must be supposed to read it since they were both raving about it. I'm about two thirds of the way through and it is a really fun read.

It's a fantasy novel about books. I hadn't read any fantasy in many years (the last batch was Steven Donaldson's Chronicles of an Unbeliever), but I am enjoying this one.

Man, I have the same problem with music. Not many ladies care for the indie/alternative stuff i've been into for the past 25 years. I still get fired up by hearing a new band that catches my attention (Latest: the Cribs)

I have never heard of the cribs, but I am really enjoying the soundtrack to Garden State. It is full of interesting Indie/alt music.
