I'm pretty excited, a little concerned about it being temporary, but I will know more later today how long they are thinking.
I'm not fussy about what work I do, so there's always a possibility they will need me for something else. Or just keep me on permanently. The plus side of it being temporary is I can pursue working for the company that FEMA contracts and don't have to worry so much about leaving a month or two after I get there. |

I'll be bussing tables to start with. The only other options are housekeeper, steward (dishwasher basically), and front desk supervisor.... I don't have enough experience for the supervisor position.
I said steward at first but the HR director said he would tell them busser and that I am open to whatever they need me for. |

I guess so, maybe people changed their plans for vacationing in Florida and are going North instead.
It's a huge resort and they have banquet events, from what I was told. |

Yep, I checked it a while ago. Between $700 and $1000. But most are around $800. I did see some deals but would have to explore it more to find out who's got them |

I'm not sure what kind of ticket to get. Open ended ones could be costly, one way tickets are outrageous, so I thought I should just get a round trip and just not return.
