Pursuit can refer to going after someone, or it can refer to dedicating oneself to a pastime. Persuasion can refer to trying to convince someone to commit (or to do everything BUT commit), or it can refer to what you believe in, how you find purpose or profit in your life. I am DEFINITELY not about to try to PERSUADE anyone to like me. It's a tremendously important aspect of relating to a mate that I am adamant about, due to my very negative experiences with trying to go the other way. And similarly, I am never going to PURSUE someone as a mate, for the same reasons. |
