Often married or long term relationship people apart for months on end sometimes without the luxury of communications?

Long distance can work - for a little while. If you really care about each other, at some point, one of you will have to move to be with the other.

Yah I believe in long distance relationship. I had it for 3 years as friends and 4 years in a relationship with him. He was a classmate of my good friend/officemate and was working abroad, we only see each other during his annual vacation. For 7 years we have constant communication night and day, I never felt we are far away from each other. Every spare moment we have , we spend it to each other. We are very open, we let each other know what we are doing , where we are going and how we feel. We had some difficult times , break up and reconcile many times but because we had a strong feelings for each other we couldn't jut let go easily. I don't have regrets when it ended, some good things never last and there's a reason for everything. It hurts when you love and you let go, yet I still believe in love and in LDR. Having someone near doesn't guarantee a good relationship....." So near yet so far"......but for some LDR could be..... " So far yet so near"

I don't believe they actually work out... especially the farther the distance!
