I have watched birds for yrs & fed them ... I like to see
the different kinds that stay around ... I got the norm ... this one I am waiting to see when he leaves ... first time this yrs has stayed ...can't remember which... short to long term memory loss but I like the meaning of them also and with other animals as guides ... you can look up the meanings of totems of animals .. and look up any site for this... so long as u use the word totem . |

I like a wide variety of birds, but at the moment it has to be a Robin, they have just had young in my garden. been watching him for a few weeks and what an attitude he has! Chasing away pigeons and other birds yet he almost eats out of my hand.

Chasing away pigeons and other birds yet he almost eats out of my hand. that's cool ... and fun to watch ... I have a cardinal... calls to me every morn feed me ... and he has a attitude also ... no one eats ...when he does ... birds are nice to watch ... I think my late mother in law ...got me into birds ... long ago ... one I did not see was the snow birds maybe once last winter... but nothing like the normal winter... |

At times it has flown right back at me. |

When I was a kid, my uncle gave my sister and I two white doves. They were male and female and completely white all over and laid eggs with baby birds we gave away. My uncle raised homing pigeons that he raced with others and was kind of a hobby but got some money. It's funny, he hated cats with a passion, but cats are my favorite animals.

I had a couple of canaries and parakeets in my life. I lived near a place called Canary Bird Farm. There were hundreds of birds they would sell. It was a really big place. They had just about every kind of canary you could imagine.

Right now it's the Robin's that built their nest top the air compressor motor on my back porch. Took some close ups of the featherless wonders yesterday.

Update on the bossy robin!
Well, not sure what's happening but he has one young. The other day I saw what I originally thought was a sparrow hawk on the fence where he sits, I thought here we go, can he sort this one out? But, looking on Google I now think it could have been a cuckoo, look similar. So the thing is, is he the Robin or his wife sitting on the cuckoos egg? |

Some people live much more interesting lives than I do |
