Judge Blocks Trump Order on Sanctuary City Money

A federal judge in San Francisco has blocked a Trump administration order to withhold funding from communities that limit cooperation with U.S. immigration authorities.

U.S. District Judge William Orrick issued the temporary ruling Tuesday in a lawsuit over the executive order targeting so-called sanctuary cities. The decision will stay in place while the lawsuit moves through court.

The Republican president's administration and two California governments that sued over the order disagreed about its scope.
San Francisco and Santa Clara County argued that it threatened billions of dollars in federal funding.

But an attorney for the Justice Department, Chad Readler, said at a recent court hearing that it applied to a limited set of grants.

Readler said less than $1 million was at stake nationally and possibly no San Francisco funding.

Yea he's hitting roadblocks in the courts at home, it's amazing how many judges are shutting Trump down.

California is facing bankruptcy anyway due to years of liberal policies. They are thinking of restarting executions to cut cost.

I wonder if Trump could/will use Obama's "rewriting" Obamacare, such as pushing back employer mandates, or no mandate penalty for those whose insurance was canceled, or allowing insurance companies to sell non aca compliant policies, or providing more than allowed reimbursements to insurance companies whose losses were greater than expected, as precedent that the president does have the "authority to attach new conditions to federal spending."


IMO it's more like we are getting the same old liberal/democrat/crappy politician club of do what I say, not what I do, when I do it it's legal, when you do it it's illegal, when we're in power you need to shut up and accept it, when you're in power you'd better listen to my constant tantrums until we're in power again.
