You're still new here but I think you'll find that very few UK profiles are active. Those that are don't seem to be able to uphold their end of a conversation, even when they have expressed an interest. That's if your experience is to be similar to mine. I would hang out in the forums, it where the majority of the conversation takes place. You get a feel for who are actually genuine and as time goes by you might even unearth someone from your part of the UK. Don't hold your breath though. I did a shout out to the whole of the East Midlands a couple of months ago and still have had no responses lol
