With all of the crap involved with these dating sites why do we even bother to post a profile? Because some of us are tired of the search for a mate. It is not easy to chat online or on the phone with a stranger.

I agree. You post a profile. Find others who seem to be attracted to you. Then there is some flaw that evidently turns them away.

I have always said there have to be "normal" people on here because I am on here. Sometimes I think the others in my age category have definately not made it to "normal".

I think I like it here, but already have had someone be less than honest. If that is all I have to look forward to on this site, then I might as well delete the profile now. That is SAD!

Is it any easier to chat with a stranger in person? At least online you have access to a few tidbits like hobbies and interests so you can start jabbering about those. Or someone might read an entertaining post and like a certain persons sense of humor and then want to get to know that person better.

Honestly, I have a hard time walking up to strangers and just talking to them, I feel like I might be bothering them.

I like it here alot, i have been on other sites, no site compares to this one as far as how friendly everyone is.

I figure if you can't be bothered to post a profile, you probably don't want to be bothered anyhow. I posted pictures of myself. I'm not the best looking guy out there but people can get a sense of who they're talking to. I fill out all of the fields. If someone doesn't want to talk to me or date me because of something there, then so be it. Everyone has flaws, no matter how hard we try to mask or hide them. I'm terribly overweight, balding, graying, and panic like mad when it comes to asking a woman out on a date. That's me, here I am.
I came here looking for local women who might be interested. None post here, yet in two days on the forums I've spent hours here and posted way too much. I'm having fun! This is definitely proving to be a place to socialise with adults. If something happens relationship wise, great. Otherwise, I'll just bend everyone's ears and hope to have a good time.

This place feels a bit like Myspace-lite. Not in an inferior way it just doesn't have SOOOO many people yet so I think it might be a little easier to get to know people. Plus I don't get a bunch of spam crap with supermodels wanting to be my friend. If this happened in real life I'd be up to my neck in hot naked women, and though appealing as that may be, I only really want to be up to my waistline in hot naked women.

I put my picture on my profile initially. One day I was at the local WM and there stool another person that was on JSH and it kinda creeped me out. That is why I don't have a picture on here. I have one and have shared it with one person. No one else has asked to see the picture. I am not a ugly woman!

Why bother? Why not!

You may not meet Ms Right, but you could meet Ms Right Now. Or at the very worst, you could hang in the forums and make some new friends.

In your negative perspective, it may be just easier to give up this online dating thing, you would be surprised the number of 'profiles' who read these forum sections and dont post...

and trust me, people do get a 'feel' for the Who of you through your posts..

Dating is overrated, anyhow......I just adopt more cats..........
