are you hopping into the dating world in the hopes of finding someone to walk down the aisle with? exchange the ' I do's' and the rings? do you see online dating as a kind of mail order bride or husband place where you can put in your order wanted: petite, sweet, young, female and then someone will respond? A lot of questions snuck in there. My experience with marriage was so very negative, that I can't imagine submitting to it again. But my dislike of it is not related to marriage the life choice, it's related to marriage the artificial legal bondage, that affects everything from how much taxes I pay, to what I am allowed to do when, and especially with what I am allowed to do if problems arise. Since I was very young, I have always wanted a truly dedicated life with a mate. That is what I am still after. As for utilizing online systems: that's unrelated to what I want. It boils down to my chancing to have a life that has swept me into areas where I almost never meet anyone with whom I could initiate any personal involvement. So online is almost the only place I can look. But no, I SPECIFICALLY don't think of online experience as being akin to ordering a mail order bride. One of my oft repeated warnings to people in forums like this, is that they need to realize that no matter how clumsily they are advertised, that there is no such thing as a "mate vending machine." This is just an alternate way to start to meet and get to know people. And, by chance, forums like this, can and have, helped me to mentally survive and even grow, as I search.

Online not the best place to find a spouse! That takes special meetings in person. to meet a genuine person!
