Has any one on here been locked up abroad...I was.
It started in Sept. 2014. I was contacted on the internet by an alleged attorney saying he was representing others for a bank in Japan. The reason was that the bank wanted to financially compensate me for my email address being used in a scam to bilk money out of the bank. The authorities from the bank & the alleged attorney said I would have to come to Japan in person to receive the money compensation. The alleged attorney said that is how business was conducted out side of the U.S.
I declined the offer at first. Three months later the alleged attorney contacted me again. This time he said if I would come to Japan he would pay all my expenses. I had never been made an offer like that before in my entire life. So, I went for it. I was told to go to Hong Kong to pick up bank documents & go to Japan after. When I got to Hong Kong the alleged attorney called me & said the bank courier would not be able to give me the documents there & I would have to travel to main land China to the City of Macau to pick up the documents. Which I did. And, then flew to Japan where I was arrested at the airport customs for allegedly trying to smuggle drugs into Japan. Which I was not aware of, had no intention to bring drugs into Japan & had no knowledge of. To make a longer story short, I went to a Japanese trial & was found not guilty of the alleged crime. If you'd like to hear more of the details, let me know...Dennis
