There are a lot of interesting places in your area and the surrounding cities that you might enjoy and who knows you might possibly meet someone with similar interests. If you like history there are museums. The Rosicrucian one is interesting. There's an amusement park out there somewhere if that's your style. You're only a short drive from chinatown and the pier. There's music venues if you enjoy a variety of music. Can't remember what else. Good luck
