And yet,
we still buy!!!noway noway

Like we have a choice?

That fuel from Venezuela has been, by far and large the cheapest available in this market for years.
So.. if we see a Citgo, we should pass it by and go to an Exon?

Yea.. Chavez has said some pretty mean things about us over the last few years. I'm pretty sure that higher up's in the Saudi Kingdom have made some pretty poignant threats too. Not to mention that a significant number of the guys that blew up a few towers over here were Saudi Nationals, funded by Saudi money. Yet.. we are still doing business with them.

Frankly.. we would be better off invading Canada to meet our petroleum needs.

Have you ever heard of the BRICs Treaty?

Dude.. you would be a whole lot better off in these debates if you actually knew what was going on in the world.

Sorry. This was tried just recently; I never heard that it made any difference. It even made the news here.
Anyway, I will be buying gas tomorrow, because it just went down 20 cents from about 4 days ago. Three days ago it was 3.07 and two days ago it was 2.95, and today it went down to 2.83. I will be filling up tomomorow morning. Thank goodness it went down even for just one day.
Good luck with your cause.

Noooo, that is not the reason. A day of no buying gas will make no difference. Think about it. Don't buy it tomorrow, buy it today. Or the next day. Either way, it gets bought at the same amount. We have to have it. Or walk everywhere. Think about it really. Gas really is inexpensive compared to so much more that we pay for.
I could be driving a hummer. Talk about an expense. I am not talking about the gas either. Cigs cost more than gas.

It will not hurt them.
I thought that too last time this was tried. Nothing.
I have family that works deep inside of a petroleum company. No pain, I tell ya.
I had this discussion with them when it happened last time.
People that would have maybe bought gas tomorrow will buy it today so they can say they didn't buy it tomorrow. So forth and so forth.
As a matter of fact when it was on the news and my space, never heard that it did any good.

Yes,
You do have a choice!!
There are some things that your conscience should make you revolt from. Supporting Chavez to save a few pennies should be one of them.

Dude you have no ethics!
Do you not understand, in your back-slapping way, (gee, look at me), what ethics are?laugh laugh

Or are you just one of those self-centered people that will do anything for your own personal benefit!

Have you ever heard, "Those who stand for nothing have already failed?"

You my friend are the epitamy of fail!!

I wont even buy a stick of gum from Citgo!!
and I am no hypocrit!
You do know what that is, dont you?laugh laugh laugh

New way to lower gas prices
Body: Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to
think that the cost of a gallon of gas is CHEAP at $1.50 - $1.75, we need to
take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the
marketplace..not sellers.

With the price of gasoline going up more each day, we consumers need to
take action.

The only way we are going to see the price of gas come down is if we
hit someone in the pocketbook by not purchasing their gas! And, we can do
that WITHOUT hurting ourselves.

How? Since we all rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying gas.

But we CAN have an impact on gas prices if we all act together to force
a price war.

Here's the idea: For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY gasoline
from the two biggest companies (which now are one), EXXON and MOBIL.

Try to buy from like Kangaroo, BP, Phillip's 66, or Q-Gas, CitCo,
and Admiral gas is from Michigan.

If they are not selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their
prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to
follow suit.

But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of Exxon and
Mobil gas buyers.

If this makes sense to you, please pass this message on. I suggest that
we not buy from EXXON/MOBIL UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE $2.00 RANGE AND KEEP THEM DOWN. THIS CAN REALLY WORK.

I don't think we have citgos here anymore.I think they bought out someone elses name. He has boasted how he wants to kill us. I can't imagine how he still operates here.

I don't know...we complain about the price of gas as if we have rights to it. Most of our gas is bought from other country's that do not even use as much of it as we do. America is the biggest user, waster, and of course we do not think of how much we pay for a bottle of water. For what we get for the buck...gas is a pretty good commodity. It gets us from here to there faster, warmer and in style.
It cost millions to set up to drill, find it, then pump it and deliver it, to be expelled to us, the greedy American. We use most of the gas in the world. Check out the stats. We buy and buy and the biggest and baddest most expensive GAS HOGS! just to waste fossil fuels. I wonder what all this is actually doing to our underground? There is a lot of empty space that is going to need filled.
I was out today. Cars were filling up everywhere. The highways are full of cars traveling all over.
I do not like paying that much for gas either. I have come to the conclusion that I have been spoiled to cheap prices and should be greatful that I have a car at all. A horse and buggy would be cold getting used to. No heater, air conditioning, wipers. Just horse farts and dust and rough riding. Not to mention how much longer it would take me to go visit my son and grandbaby. Jeeze, I might get there tomorrow if I left this morning. I said might.
