'Twas the Month Before Christmas by an unkown author

*Twas the month before Christmas*
*When all through our land,*
*Not a Christian was praying*
*Nor taking a stand.*
*See the PC Police had taken away,*
*The reason for Christmas - no one could say.*
*The children were told by their schools not to sing,*
*About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.*
*It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say*
* December 25th is just a "Holiday".*

*Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit*
*Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!*
*CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod*
*Something was changing, something quite odd! *
*Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa*
*In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.*
*As Targets were hanging their trees upside down*
* At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.*
*At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears*
*You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.*

*Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty*
*Are words that were used to intimidate me.*
*Now Daschle, Now Durbin, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen*
*On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton!*
*At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter*
*To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.*
*And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith*
* Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace*

*The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded*
*The reason for the season, stopped before it started.*
*So as you celebrate "Winter Break" under your "Dream Tree"*
*Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.*
*Choose your words carefully, choose what you say*

*Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS ,
not Happy Holiday!*

And remember only two defining forces have ever

offered to die for you, Jesus Christ

and the American Soldier.

One died for your soul,

the other for your freedom.

Twas the month before Christmas
And all through the land
Credit cards were melting
At the touch of a hand.

Budgets were blown
And tempers were flared
As purchasers groaned
At the weight of their wares.

Children made lists that were expensive and long
Paper was wasted on prettying the gifts
For the spirit of Christmas had been abandoned and gone
And the families pretended to hold back their rifts

For the sake of a day, all the food that been bought
All the alcohol merriment, and abundance galore
Whilst out in the frozen world, warm places were sought
As a child's young eyes, saw the wreaths on the door.

This boy has no Christmas, no money, no home
No feast and no presents are under a tree
No stockings of gifts, just cold and alone
As the Christians all hurry past and don't see.

Christmas is giving of spirit and heart
Even heathens partake in the giving of love
For that is the message that was offered in part
To be more for others, to be the white dove.

On the 25th of December, give more to a stranger than you do to those that already receive from you daily. For one day a year, practise what is preached.

It can't hurt to show generosity of spirit.

{{{Lee}}} That was beautiful.

Come and have Chinese food with me on Christmas? It is a long trip, but worth it.

The PC holidays were brought to you by me and mine that do not celebrate Christmas.
