I have no children, By choice and then I date a man who has kids. he asks me to go see his kid in a play. I say no. That is not interesting to me at all. I guess I'm selfish, but at least I'm honest. If this is considered selfish...  I'm selfish, honest, and stubborn... Defo not selfish |

Can people become too single an selfish mainly cause of past relationships No. People don't become selfish (no matter how you define it) because of past relationships. If they become "selfish" or otherwise too difficult for most people to pair with them in a long term way, it is because of what they decided to DO in their lives, in REACTION to previous relationships. Everyone remains responsible for their choices, whether they want to believe they are or not. But yes, I've known a number of people who's "solutions" to problematic past relationships, involved being so guarded or even hostile to others, that they became almost unapproachable. |

Defo not selfish Nope not selfish one bit. I think it is better to be honest and upfront about that stuff. I all most forgot the whole in my opinion statement.

A person isn't behaving badly just because that person desires to be single. True that! |
