I pray for a day not to end violently.
But i live in The Town and guns never go silently.
Never a dull moment on the front page of Oaklands
paper.3 students got smoked like a pack of Kools and the assailent made off in a lime green scraper.
No love for the homeless, no love for thy neighbors,
if ever a place needed help we sure could use a favor.
Does the sun not rise here like it does elsewhere, why then i ask do we recieve such poor care.
Schools close to home getting shut down, but they just built another juvenile hall barely outside THE TOWN.
Seems so unfair and i know other cities are under siege but this is where i'm from and where i'm raising my seeds.
So hard to leave behind the hi expectations of where we're from, believing that some day a savior will come. But as the sun sets and the moon shines a cresent grin, i can't help but feel that the savior needed lies within.

So sad, but keep your faith

sad & so true,,, adverse surroundings pain and hurt all around us,,, yet we must stand tall and overcome these adversaties
