It's usually not that difficult to separate my best interests from what is not in my best interests unless I'm in the habit of deceiving myself. Although this is quite common, I'm not prone to this type of self deception.

I don't claim to know what is in anyone else's best interest, either. However, I do know what tends to attract people or repel them.

I suppose people need to be true to themselves even if the individual is negative, impatient. and lacking in understanding of how to interact socially.

What strikes me, and the reason I started this thread, is how many people display this type of behavior and get all righteous, bitter and whiny when they remain alone...
