I expect it depends on how fast the population grows and how expensive housing becomes.

Offer your home to some of them. Then there would be even less

I wonder how long it will take before there are more homeless than not ! Forever. It couldn't happen. You'd just get shanty towns rather than mass "homelessness." Then people would be "addressless" maybe, but not "home" less.
