Allmost all the time I have been on here I have had my IM
turned off. Today I turned it on...
In the past I have had alot of problems with *&%^$#$%@ on IM.
I would prefer to be e-mailed first- rather then talk to a
complete stranger on IM first. Alot wanted to just cyber.
Anyone else have problems with people IM'ing you?
As of lately I decided to turn it back on and give it a try again. I think there are alot of people out there who prefer to IM. Whats your opinion's on IM'ing???

i turned mine off today teddy for that same reason...strangers tryin to IM me or ppl who i didnt want to talk to u kept IM'ing me.....i only like to IM to ppl who i know...

i like it i just close the window on the ones i dont want to talk to

I keep mine turned on but don't respond to people I don't know. Works for me. I don't like IM with people I don't know either.

Teddy, I didn't even know if mine was on or off until you mentioned this and I checked! And it was off. But I have used it a few times in the past and never really had a problem. I think everyone I talked to was someone I knew from the forums though.

Mainly, I have another program I use for IMs, though.

It doesn't bother me too much. But monday I got 190 messages. I found that amusing that everyone wanted to chat at once. Nice to have freinds but it took an hour to delete them! Ha ha ha. Carpal from pushing delete button.

I haven't had an issue with guys just wanting to cyber, but then I accept very few IM's. I prefer to know someone a little through the forums or email first. That litle box gets annoying sometimes, when you're trying to participate in the forums.
