He lives his life un-noticed
Except for when folks throw spare change;
Everyone sees him as a "bum"
And often look at him strange.

But he once had a life full of glory-
A "Vet" with a home and a wife.
But one day in the blink of an eye,
Circumstances changed his whole life.

He carries his medals in his tattered coat
Of the life that he knew before,
He did his duty overseas and then;
He came home to a different war.

The battle rages on in his mind,
As he wonders from street to street.
The battle that he deals with everyday...
Now depends on the strangers he meets.

morning, how true for so many of our brothers

as I walked those streets of lonely and dispare,
I trodd slowly along,without any cares,
longing for home,and family affairs,
for my heart was low,
my feelings did grow into dispare,
in my bottle of drunken logics,
there was none who truely cared,
but then one day,while on my way,
was aproached by a sweet lil kid,
look here mister,I don't know what you did,
but I see you're feeling low,
here's a dollar for you,
from your country of RED,White and Blue,,
we give back to you,freedom rings true,
please know we Love you too....so I cry...

Awe thats so sad, but so true. What have we done to those poor soldiers?
They fought for us and look what society and the gov't has done to
them.It's so unfair and disgusting I think.They have been forgotten by
most.
