The unfortunate souls roam, shunned for their weakness
Searching for ever elusive snowflakes From poppy fields to coca leaves to shattered dreams Their Masters with every handshake whisper 'you're free' Cold hearted magnets draw with their power of evil blindness Calmly showing off their wares, four wheels that cost the earth Their plastic sweethearts giggle with dollars, not cents nor sense Portraying sweet candy floss, backed up with sinister iniquitous The unfortunate souls roam, how did I get in here Daily questions, answers not wanting to hear Silent desperation, craving for the handshake Emotional, thinking of home where they once used to roam Once proud, now reduced to shivers and avoiding the crowd Callous magnet inside your head, surely now I'd be better off dead A tunnel, no light, no will to put up a fight Will it end when I'm food for worms, will I ever escape this sunless world |
