Don't feel so bad bro....going through the same thing with something starting to seem to be working but she is far away herself.....best advise I can give you that if it seems right...just do what you can to make it work. Me I am willing to relocate for the girl of my dreams and should just look at the options later on....so wish you the best and understand your delima...but at the same time it could be worth it to you....to see where it goes....BEST OF LUCK.

i agree with you steve, i think i'm willing to relocate for a man. it just scares the crap outta me though. it would be a major change in lifestyle for me!

and it was really long distance too, my ex did 14 months in Iraq. if you care about the person and you want to make it work, you can.

I've been to Texas to see someone from another site. I rode a train for a few hours, walked, dragging my luggage for a half hour then took a light-rail to the airport.. flew for 6 hours.. then drove for 7 hours. She did the same too. We both drove for a few days too. From there to here.

I've also been to the Carolina's. That is a long plane ride from Oregon.

Even before the net... The girl I married in my early 20's, lived in Nevada. I just spent a lot of time in Nevada and we traveled together for the first few years of getting to know each other.

If it is important enough... The money, distance and time issues always works out. That is not the hard part of any relationship I've ever been in. Local girl or not. Those were most certainly not the issues that ultimately changed the relationships, IMO. It is all too easy to use these issues as reasons or excuses though.

Fears, old baggage, lack of communication, honesty challenges, etc...are much more likely to stop a relationship dead in it's tracks, or prevent a relationship from ever getting off the ground at all....then mere miles.
