This would have to be the craziest part of being human, this man/ woman, woman/woman, man/man (depending on your preferences) romantic relationship thing.

Most have some pre-requisites, some boundaries, barriers, taboos and other whatnots, when entering into a committed relationship.

What seems crazy for one person, may be very important to another.

How to get it right?

Where does one draw the line, and set one's boundaries?

And why?

DO we cart our baggage from each relationship and then hold every potential romantic relationship accountable?

I find the whole thing completely crazy.......Buddhist Nun looks better and better every day....

Maybe we should take Love seriously but just laugh at life,or the other way around. No matter what,it will be over before we figure it out.

My guess is that some people already have an idea to what the "ideal" guy/girl would look like, act, dress. So we tend to try to change our current b.f/g.f into out "ideal" person. Some people change on the spot, while others take longer, or don't change at all. Instead of just accepting some one for who the are. But that all depends on the person and the circumstance the relationship is currently in. For example, alot of guys ask for a "normal" girl. But what we see as normal, might seem weird to others. It all depends on our views, and how we think a relationship should, and should not be.

by setting boundaries i would say that i would probably be setting where i am willing to look for friendship or more. So there's the possibility that i would miss someone who could be a great addition to my life, so boundaries aren't worth it in my book.

Everyone has boundaries......and you should have some. If we didnt we would be having sex with our children ffs!!!sick noway sick

There are certain things that I will accept and some I will not....now that would be my problem if it didnt coincide with my potential partner or whatever....

I agree Gypsy, we all have personal boundaries, moral boundaries, societal boundaries.

I must just be a mental case or something...all the conditions and limits and all the 'stuff' that seems to go with them, leaves me completely confused.

I wonder if bikinis come in maroon and gold, and Nuns are allowed to surf...huh
