Well, when I was eight, I went with my Grandfather to help sight in a rifle. We set the target at 200 yards and walked back. Grandpa let me shoot first, and, from a prone position, I fired. I hit the can lid we tacked to the board dead center through the nail. The can lid fell away from the board, a very literal "hole in one."
Grandpa didn't even fire the rifle himself, he figured if I could hit dead center at that range, it was sighted in fine. I hope this is the kind of "non-golf" related story you were looking for!! |
