1st poem
September 11th
to the remembrance of the 9/11 victims
I remember it like it was yesterday
It was a regular day like any other
Then it happened, Boom!
The first plane crashed
Into the north tower then...
BOOM! The second plane crashed
Into the south tower
Smoke came pouring through the streets
People running for their lives and screaming
Some jumped out windows to escape the horror
Some fell with the towers
We lost thousands that day
And it started a war that is still goin on
to this day
Is the world really gonna end up this way!

2nd poem

The Heart
Shattered into a thousand pieces
The pain never ceases

Wanting someone there to fill the hole
Feeling as empty as the soul

Breaking a little more each day
Slowly fading away

Turning black as the night
Only happiness can make it right

A strange thing the heart can be
When it hurts, no one can see
