I really dont understand that despite a year in the University i still dont have a German friend that i can go out with and have fun. i know language can be an issue but its not only on my side by not being able to speak fine German its also on the other side by not being able to speak any other language other than German not even sometimes English which is laguna franca.

yeah, i was in Model United Nations and was following other student activities and no doubt i did get a chance to socialise but no real and long lasting friendship.... the next day they pass by without even saying hi... and i find it not insulting but also impolite.
